Jill Mastrangelo

Account Executive

Jill Mastrangelo: Glamour Girl

After surviving as MMI’s “traffic” coordinator for several months, Jill Mastrangelo was promoted to the hectic job of an account executive. The rigorous traffic coordinator position doesn’t direct the four-wheeled kind of traffic, but the dozens of news releases sent out every day to media outlets all over the country, as well as the never-ending stacks of clients’ clips. Jill will tell you that a stint at this job is an education in itself and prepared her fully for her new “glamorous” position.

Jill enjoys PR because she has the opportunity to work with an eclectic group of people in different industries throughout the community. In her spare time she enjoys a daily dose of CNN anchor, Anderson Cooper, reading, playing Catch Phrase and spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Cooking is also one of Jill’s favorite pastimes, which many assume she’s good at simply because she’s 100% Italian. Jill and her family will tell you this is not always the case as they recall the Thanksgiving she made lemon meringue soup. Yes, soup. It was supposed to be pie.

More than anything, Jill appreciates the chance to serve others through civic and charitable work both in her professional and private life. She serves on the board of advisors of the Me Fine Foundation, providing assistance to those with children being treated at Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals regardless of race, diagnosis, religious affiliation or economic status. She’s also one of those “Bad” people on the planning committee for the Big Bad Ball, a black tie affair benefiting the Hospice of Wake County. Jill has previous volunteer experience with the Boys & Girls Club of Pitt County and Habitat for Humanity.

A native of Cary, NC, Jill is a graduate of East Carolina University, where she majored in Media Studies with an emphasis in Journalism and Public Relations. Want to know more about Jill? Ask her about the time she was featured in Glamour Magazine!

MMI Associates was contracted to handle media relations and to organize various efforts to open the communication lines between the construction entities on the project and motorists. The firm developed a strategic public relations campaign to ensure that local motorists and those passing through would be aware of the most up-to-date traffic patterns.
