Patty Briguglio is President of MMI Associates, Inc. a full-service marketing and public relations firm. Patty champions small business and women-owned businesses. In 2005, the Mayor of the town of Cary recognized her as a Small Business Champion. Named the 2005 National Federation of Independent Business’ (NFIB) Small Business Champion in North Carolina, Patty has made a tremendous difference for small-business members in the state.
Instrumental in founding organizations that benefit women, Patty was a founder of the Arizona Women’s Business Enterprise Council (AWBEC) and the Triangle Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), a nonprofit organization whose members are a diverse group of entrepreneurial women presidents who have guided their businesses to generate at least $2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for a service-based business. She has been active in the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) for more than 10 years, receiving many awards, including the NAWBO Rising Star Award, Woman of the Year and Member of the Year Award.
Patty was named one of the 25 most influential Women In Business by the Triangle Business Journal. The Office of the Governor recently honored Patty with the Old North State award. Patty devotes her time to a number of civic and charitable organizations including the Assistance League of Raleigh, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Pines of Carolina Girl Scout Council, the Hospice of Wake County, and the Triangle Community Foundation (TCF).
MMI Associates was contracted to handle media relations and to organize various efforts to open the communication lines between the construction entities on the project and motorists. The firm developed a strategic public relations campaign to ensure that local motorists and those passing through would be aware of the most up-to-date traffic patterns.
