4/14/06 Today With Patty ...

Today has been another whirlwind day. I haven’t had time to go to the bathroom! My day started with a meeting at 7:30 a.m. and I have gone from meeting to meeting since. Fortunately, I was able to schedule all of them within a half mile radius, so I didn’t have to worry about being late or driving all over and getting lost. The people at the Carolina Café think I don’t have a life (or that maybe I am really, really hungry), since three of my four meetings were held there.

Last night I had dinner at Sonja McKay’s home. Sonja is a financial planner and she held a dinner for some of the interesting women in the Triangle. I have to say that her home was extraordinarily beautiful, with feng shui that gives it incredible, positive energy.

We had a big staff meeting today. Everyone unveiled their yearly client action plans, after working on them diligently for the past month. Then Marcie Brogan from Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing stopped by with her sister, Maria Marcotte. Brogan & Partners are thinking about expanding their offices and were looking at our office layout. I think that they were surprised to see how crammed-in we are!

There’s Something About Mari … My friend, Mari, lives in a house that was built in pre-Revolutionary times. To say that this house is scary is an understatement. If you go down into Mari’s basement, you can see that the entire house’s foundation rests upon rough-hewn logs that are over 250 years old.
