Today I went to a Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women meeting, where we worked on programs for the upcoming year. The group decided they wanted Bev Perdue to speak, so I opened my mouth and said I thought I could make that happen. Now I must deliver.

I went to see Dr. Angela Baylis at Iatria Health Center today, because I am still dealing with issues from my bone-crushing fall. Apparently I didn’t just hurt my shoulder, but sprung my whole body. Dr. Baylis worked on my femur this morning, and it hurt like the dickins. But I suffered in silence. That’s my way.
I had lunch with Mary Duffman, who used to be my banker at RBC Centura. I loved Mary as my banker, but she isn’t in banking anymore. No one can compare to her. Enough said.

She was in the process of tearing off a piece for me when she said in her most innocent voice, “This is my supper, but I’m willing to share …” And I instantly said, “Never mind!” I’m not taking the hit for eating someone’s supper.
There’s something about Mari … My friend, Mari, is not exactly known for her housecleaning skills, particularly in her boudoir, which looks like Payless vomited shoes all over the floor. She has thousands of shoes, all size 14 and as ugly as can be.
Some people have dust bunnies under their bed. Mari has dust buffaloes.
