5/22/06 Today With Patty ...

Nicole and I got food poisoning in New York. Trust me, you have not lived until you have hurled in one of NYC’s public restrooms at the airport. Our flight was delayed for about 5 hours, so maybe it was good that I had time to hurl and recuperate before I got on the airplane. We arrived home at about 11 p.m. on Friday night.

Other than that, it was a great trip. Nicole will blog about it.

Today my mother is here from Tucson, and the two of us are getting ready for a wonderful trip to Ireland. I’m looking forward to some quality Mom-and-daughter time.

One of our interns, Lauren, gave me some beautiful flowers as a “send-off to Ireland” present. The bouquet has peonies, which are my favorite flower in the whole world.
