6/20/06 Today With Patty ...

Billie Redmond, president of Coldwell Banker Commercial TradeMark Properties, was the speaker at the Business Leader breakfast this morning. Billie was awesome and her message wonderful. Recently inducted into the YWCA’s Academy of Women for her efforts to empower women and eliminate racism, Billie is really an inspiration both personally and professionally.

I guess some local Hockey team won some championship last night. I heard about it on Fox News this morning while I was getting dressed. When I got to work, I found out that everyone at my office either watched the game live at RBC or on TV last night except me. Good thing I listened to Fox News, so I at least knew how to respond this morning when people said to me, “How ‘bout those Canes?” and I could say, “Yeah, aren’t they great?”

There’s Something About Mari … Today Mari and I pulled off our carefully planned prank on the principal at Mari’s school. It went down like a thing of beauty. The guy believed everything and he wasn’t happy about “losing” Mari. When he found out it was all a practical joke, he threatened to get Mari back, but she said, “We need to stop this now! Or I’ll be forced to escalate!”
