Today I had a great meeting with MMI client Coldwell Banker Howard Perry And Walston. It was great to get a thorough overview of all the services they offer. It boggles my mind to see just how comprehensive these services are, and I was impressed with the company’s corporate culture as well. One employee, Pam Gay, was celebrating her 23rd anniversary with CBHPW today. Another woman I spoke with has worked at the company for 29 years. That says a lot about the quality of the company.
It is so hot outside that I feel like I am breathing water. Nicole and I were at the Business Journal to discuss the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. Getting in and out of the car and walking outside had Nicole stressing about her hair going frizzy, and me stressing about mine going limp and straight. Neither of us was happy.
I heard that the big parade for the Hurricanes took place during the heat of the day. I can’t imagine anyone willingly standing outside to watch a parade in this kind of weather. If I tried to stand in this heat for longer than ten minutes, I would probably end up stripping off all my clothes, and no one wants that.
Tonight I am looking forward to the legislative reception at the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Held at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, the reception will honor the 170 members of the North Carolina General Assembly, Council of State members, and key staff.
