7/6/06 Today With Patty ...

Today I have a sore throat. Luckily, Dr. Angela Baylis, Doctor of Chiropractic and Managing Partner of Iatria Health Center, came by and brought vitamins for me. She takes such good care of me … remember my sore shoulder? Dr. Baylis helped me with that, and it’s lots better.

I’d hate to lose my voice – those of you who know me know that talking is a big part of who I am.

I have been meeting with reporters today, talking to them about what’s happening in the community. I love that and love knowing about things before the public knows. There are lots of things happening that I cannot talk about.

We have a fascinating new client called CytoCore, a company that develops cost-effective cancer screening systems, which can be utilized in a laboratory or at the point-of-care to assist in the early detection of cervical, endometrial, and other cancers. I am really looking forward to working with this company. MMI has experience working with public awareness campaigns for cervical cancer testing, which gives us an appreciation for the impact CytoCore’s screening products can have in this critical area of women’s health.
