Our newest employee, Tim, looked so handsome today for his company head shot. He wore a gorgeous suit with a blue shirt and blue tie. His bottom half was a bit ratty-looking, though, with his torn jeans and flip-flops, but of course that part won’t show in the photo.
I’ve been in the office all day. We’re interviewing and it is getting difficult to choose among the candidates because we are finding some great people. Nice to have that problem.
All you blog-readers out there, be forewarned! I will be out of town for business and pleasure for the next three weeks. However, everyone on my staff blogs, so you will be well entertained in my absence. Look for “Today Without Patty” columns.
Allison and Elizabeth are neck-and-neck in the great interview challenge. Each has set up four interviews with different media for their clients this week. The winner will receive MMI’s coveted Golden Horn Award. (Don’t ask.)
I am on the warpath because there are crumbs in the office kitchen and nobody squeezes the dirty water out of the sponge. That sponge is a bacteria-ridden chunk of sickness sitting on the counter, a Petri dish of horrors, just waiting for someone to pick it up so it can attack them. I asked my staff if they thought they were developing a cure for cancer in that sponge, and Ryal said, “Sponge? What sponge?”
News Alert: It’s past five p.m., and Tim just called the office from his car, saying he heard on the radio there’s an E. Coli outbreak in the Cary water system. Do you think that could possibly have come from our sponge?
