A blog for Kate and Nicole's moms

Everyone deserves a visit from the Easter Bunny

Instead of writing about my usual topic of rules, today I want to comment on the Easter bunny – and whom she did and did not visit. Since forever, I have received an Easter basket from my mom. After my daughter was born (23 years ago), my mom started sending an Easter basket to my daughter – and not to me. Whoa! I called my mom on that and reminded her that she was MY MOM. Every year since then, I have continued to receive a box of Easter goodies from my mom. It doesn’t matter where she is or what is going on in our lives – an Easter basket from mom is a given. My daughter knows that same tradition. EVERY year, she receives some Easter goodies from her mom.

I bring this up because two of my ‘kids’ in the office did NOT receive any Easter goodies from their moms (and I know they read the blog). Kipp and Michelle both got Easter baskets, but Nicole and Kate do not have any memories (or high-calorie, high-fat goodies like Cadbury chocolate mini-eggs and peeps). How can that be? I guess I will have to make Easter baskets for them. No child (even grown ones) should be without an Easter basket. Just one mom’s opinion, but I think it is an important one.
