Amazing!

That’s the only word to describe my vacation. Once we returned to the port in Miami, my boyfriend had to drag me off the cruise ship kicking and screaming (ok that’s not true, but I thought about it a couple of times!) We left Raleigh as it was snowing and in less than 2 hours we were in the Miami Heat –ok that was corny, but I couldn’t resist. Our first stop was in Key West. We rented a golf cart and toured the entire island at least 10 times (seriously the whole island is 3 miles long).

We saw Ernest Hemingway’s home, where US 1 (aka Capital Blvd) begins, wild roosters, the southern most point of the Continental US as well as several local bars, my favorite being Irish Kevin’s, where they have live music all day every day. Our next stop was Cozumel, Mexico, where we snorkeled at coral reefs, swam in the crystal blue ocean, and laid out on the white sandy beaches. But no trip to Mexico is complete with out a stop to Carlos’ n Charlies, where we consumed one too many of their famous yard size adult beverages. So it’s been almost a week, and I have yet to get out of the chill vacation mode.
