An Only Allison WEEK

by Allison

Although I swear that it was just Monday morning a few minutes ago, I’m under the impression that it is now Friday afternoon and I cannot figure out what had happened to this week. Staying busy will do it to you, I guess. When I think back on how five days just disappeared on me, it suddenly makes sense. Do normal people live this way?

FRIDAY – Straight to Chapel Hill after work for a quiet dinner with the girls and our lovely bachelorette. (Except that it turned into a not-so-quiet dinner with 8 girls, a trip to the Teeter and a visit to Franklin Street that ended with a late night Cosmic burrito.)

SATURDAY – Stopped to pick up a bridesmaid’s dress at David’s Bridal on the way back to Raleigh. Cleaned house, planned games for 13 girls, ran the last-minute errands. Co-hosted the afternoon bachelorette festivities and lingerie shower. Jumped in the limo with the ladies around 9, Rum Runners by 9:30 (hello, local magazine editor!), Ess Lounge by 11, back home way later than necessary.

SUNDAY – Recovery and cleaning. What a mess.

MONDAY – Back to work. Dinner with a girlfriend at Lilly’s, then a quick stop at the Hibernian.

TUESDAY – Long day. Big Bad Ball meeting at the Capital City Club.

WEDNESDAY – Made the 3.5 hour drive to the OBX after 5.

THURSDAY – Grand Opening of Butcher Block in the morning with the family, worked/ate through the lunch rush (*highlight of the week*), picked up my brother from First Flight Middle School, headed home in time to watch the Heels stomp Eastern Kentucky.

TODAY – Sleepy, but not stopping. Heading to Charleston tonight and Savannah for St. Patty’s. Maybe I’ll slow it down on Sunday?
