Heck, I usually have to MAKE time to blog – now I am blogging three times in one day. Patty called in and she had plenty to say.
First, she WAS in Phoenix, but now she has been kidnapped by her sister and is on her way to Tucson. While in Tucson, she plans to raid her sister’s closet and pay a surprise visit to her Mom.
Now for Mari. I was trying to be truly apologetic to Mari. After talking to Patty, she made me realize that, get real, Mari is a school nurse (not a REAL nurse). All she can prescribe is gumdrops. Bleeding? Here’s a gumdrop. Broken bone? Here’s a gumdrop.
Story is that many years ago, Patty bought flowers for Mari on School Nurse’s Day. However, Patty let the flowers die before having them delivered. The note read: “See if you can nurse these back to health.” Mari, whatever happened with those flowers?
Mari also recently wrote Patty thanking her for getting involved in the MS cause. One of Mari’s children has MS. It is one of the tender moments I see from Patty. I keep telling Patty we are too busy to take on more causes. But for Patty, this is not about the name or the time; it is about finding a cure for Mari’s child and for others who suffer from MS.
