RALEIGH, N.C. – Lou Jurkowski, chief executive officer of BJAC, p.a., one of the largest woman-owned architectural design firms in the Southeast, has announced that she will speak at the AIA North Carolina 2007 Design Conference to be held Sept. 13-15 at the New Bern Convention Center in New Bern. In her presentation, titled “Design-Build Strategies for Architects,” Jurkowski will teach participants about the growing building trend, including the keys to successful design-build teams and benefits and risks of design-build. She will discuss which types of design-build methods are currently used in North Carolina and what design-build means to the overall architecture profession.
