RALEIGH, N.C. – Cathy Rosebaugh, President of Alterna Home Solutions, has been named Senior Outreach Chair for Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a non-profit animal rescue organization. In this position, Rosebaugh will schedule pet visitations to elderly and Alzheimer’s patients as a form of pet therapy. Studies have shown that animals have a calming effect on humans and benefit well being, especially with children and the elderly.
“I am pleased to be named Senior Outreach Chair of Second Chance Pet Adoptions,” said Rosebaugh. “These rescued animals will provide comfort and companionship for all seniors including those suffering with a serious disease that plagues a large number of the elderly.”
