Charlie and I are busy every day working on the 2006 Leukemia &Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of The Year Campaign. This competition allows business leaders to compete against one another to raise money for the society, with this years focus being on Maci Donleycott, the 2006 Girl of the Year. Maci is 3, and battling Acute Myelogenous Lymphoma. Last week, she received a bone marrow transplant from her father. So far, our team has sent out hundreds of letters , donations are starting to come in, and several exciting events are in the works. I would like to give a special thanks to BOOM! for donating an ad in their next publication.
Be on the lookout for a poker tournament, beer and wine tastings, and a special family fun day. We are still looking for donations, such as monetary donations or items that we can auction off at our events. The Web site for donations is: www.active.com/donate/encmwoy05/encCAlexan.
Please contact Amanda Denton at aedenton@ncsu.edu for additional information or if you are interested in donating to Charlie’s 2006 Man & Woman of The Year Campaign. As a special thanks, every $100 donation will earn one raffle ticket towards a grand prize of a weeks vacation at a getaway beach house in Ocean Isle. Let’s keep up the pace we have set thus far and earn as much money as we can for Maci and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
