Cheers to the CUP!

by Nicole

So being from South Carolina, hockey was never a big deal. “The Ice” was always thought to be something that kept my cocktail cold in the summer or a really humongous diamond ring. After living in Raleigh for two years “the ice” has taken over a whole new meaning. Considering I live three miles from where the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup, hockey has become an enjoyable past time. A past time that involves drinking beer and cheering on gruesome fights all from the best seat in the house, the Coldwell Banker HPW suite. Last night, Ryal and I attended The Triangle Leadership Goodmon Awards Gala event at The American Tobacco District Bay 7 in Durham. Not only did the event involve A-list guests but the Stanley Cup was also in attendance. Not until last night did I find this was “kinda a big deal”. Of course I made Ryal take 100 photos of me and the cup but I also called every hockey fan that I know and inform them that I was hanging out with the Stanley Cup, very VIP! Needless to say we had a great time and most men in America will be insanely jealous of me! So to hockey fans everywhere, Cheers To The Cup!
