Countdown to the Caribbean!

I can’t wait until Friday! Ken and I are going sailing in the British Virgin Islands with two other couples. I mean we’re like REALLY sailing…no crew, just the six of us on a sailboat. Peggy and Dan, friends from Atlanta, can captain the ship and get us where we need to be. They have chartered a boat several times from The Moorings. I am a little concerned that this might turn into a misadventure (Control Freak Heather timidly raises her hand), but it will certainly be an adventure nonetheless! We fly into St. Thomas on Friday and ferry over to Tortola to pick up our boat. Crazy! The plan is to spend the next seven days island hopping, sunning, funning, drinking, snorkeling and relaxing. Please note previous blog re: The Slow Movement. I think is the best possible way to kick off 2007 in slow fashion! After watching both Pirates of the Caribbean dvds over Christmas, I have great images of swilling rum with Captain Jack Sparrow and hope that the Kraken will be kept at bay! That Kraken could really ruin my good, slow time!
