If you’re looking for a way to beat the heat tonight, be sure to check out the 2007 Downtown Appetite For Art, a fundraiser event hosted by the Historic Glenwood-Brooklyn Neighborhood Association (HGBNA), a non-profit inclusive group committed to advancing the vitality and diversity of the historic urban neighborhood located near downtown Raleigh. This fundraiser event, now in it’s 3rd year, is focused on growing the youth of our community through supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County with a focus on the arts and how it improves our children.
Evening highlights will include an art auction, silent auction, live entertainment by The Breakfast Club, and of course free wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres featuring items from some of Raleigh’s most outstanding restaurants, such as Sullivan’s Steakhouse, Hibernian Restaurant & Pub, and April & George Art Bar and Wine Gallery.
Downtown Appetite For Art, a creative black tie event (it is a special evening, after all!), is tonight, Aug. 10, at the Exploris Museum from 7-11p.m. Tickets are $50 at the door. You can’t beat this chance to get some fabulous art for a great deal, and also donate to a good cause! Enjoy!
