Exploris Wins 2006 Metro Bravo Award

RALEIGH, N.C. – Exploris has been recognized as one of the top public buildings in the Triangle area by Metro Magazine. The Raleigh museum received the Metro Bravo award based on its dedication to providing an engaging learning environment and one-of-a-kind rental facility for Downtown Raleigh.

“Exploris is honored to receive this award from Metro Magazine,” said Bonnie Hancock, president of Exploris. “We strive to provide an inviting and exciting space for our visitors and this award speaks volumes to these efforts.”

Exploris is a 74,000-sq. ft. interactive museum that consists of the exhibit halls that opened in 1999, a charter middle school that opened in 1997 and the IMAX Theatre that opened in 2001.
