Raleigh, NC – Marc Reynolds, general manager of Falls Village Golf Course in Durham, has announced the course’s hosting of the 8th annual Chernobyl Children’s Golf Tournament, Sat. April 29 at 1 p.m. Participants will come from five separate churches that are connected to the Chernobyl Children’s Orphanage in Belarus. The tournament winners will receive cash and prizes, which will all be donated to each church’s Chernobyl Children’s Fund. Thirty-eight children from the orphanage will be visiting the Raleigh/Durham area for the entire summer to receive medical treatment and to visit families. The Chernobyl Children’s Golf Tournament is sponsored by WakeMed and has previously raised more than $10,000 in proceeds.
“We are pleased to support the Chernobyl Children’s Orphanage,” said Reynolds. “It is a great charity and several companies such as Dasani, BB&T, and Golden Corral will be donating to this wonderful event.”
