Feeling EXTRA Appreciated

I pulled into the office parking lot this morning where it was immediately apparent on the door of our building that today was “Allison Appreciation Day.” I was feeling pretty appreciated before I even made it to my desk. The girls were down here ready and waiting to yell about it the minute I walked in the door. I’ve been around for a few special days like this at MMI before, but I don’t think I have ever seen one quite so wonderful.

I had to stop when my desk came into view. I thought for a quick second that I might be getting canned when I saw it covered (I mean covered) in paper. It turns out that I have the greatest co-workers in the world. Eleven notes decorated my desk telling me what every person in this office appreciates about me. (Insert a tear or two here.) There was even a poem on the board that explained the meaning of my name. Wow.

While every single note made me feel incredibly special, I wanted to share one that will remain in my heart forever.

From my dear sweet Elizabeth:

Allison, Allison,
Your work is so good.
If we haven’t said we love you
We really really should.
Your hair is so blonde.
Your shoes are so cute.
When you get mad,
You only say “shoot.”
Thanks for working
So hard for us all.
There really needs to be
An Allison doll.

Now really, who else on EARTH works with people like this?! Thanks to everyone at MMI for making my day outstanding. I appreciate every one of you right back!
