Former movie set gives way to homes at Firefly Cove

Lake Lure, located east of Ashville, North Carolina among the Blue Ridge Mountains, was named by National Geographic as one of the Ten Most Spectacular Man-Made Lakes in the World. The community was named for its popularity as a fishing spot but is best known for being the film site of popular movie Dirty Dancing. The stunning backdrop of the film will now be home to brand new concierge residential community, Firefly Cove. The development will consist of 42 home sites on over 50 beautiful acres. The lots will range from $600,000 to $2 million.
