Introducing Myself

Although I’ve worked here for several months, I’ve never really gotten the opportunity to blog on the site. As my first blog, I feel I should introduce myself. Hi, I’m Kristi, the newest full time employee here at MMI Associates. I’m a senior at NC State, majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations, and I am possibly from the smallest town in North Carolina, which is demonstrated by my constant use of the word “y’all” and other contractions that don’t technically exist but make perfect sense in context. As the Christmas Tree Capital, we don’t really have much to offer in Ashe County but the scenery, which is amazing at just the right time in the fall. I currently reside in Raleigh with my three roommates, which will inevitably be mentioned again. Well, I hope you enjoy and check back next week for more updates.

Public Relations for the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) U.S. 1/64
MMI Associates was contracted to handle media relations and to organize various efforts to open the communication lines between the construction entities on the project and motorists. The firm developed a strategic public relations campaign to ensure that local motorists and those passing through would be aware of the most up-to-date traffic patterns.
