It’s better in Brooklyn.

This past weekend, we took a trip up our street to see some neighbors on Clayton Pointe Drive and have dinner with them. The neighbors we had dinner with are the sister team of Kim Mack and Staci Douglas – the masterminds behind Out of the Box Party that I mentioned in a previous blog post – and their respective broods. Tim, Kim’s Husband, made pizza from scratch with water they brought from Brooklyn. I’m not sure what they put in the water in Brooklyn that would make one want to transport it across state lines, but then again, I’ve done similar things.

Long story short, the pizza was great, and I am still alive to write about it, so I’m sure we’ll all get together again.

I admire Staci and Kim’s tenacity in their business endeavor and have offered my services for free a couple of times. They have admirable dedication to their kids, and their home-based business allows them to be closer to their kids on a daily basis. All of us should envy that.

Speaking of transporting things across state lines, my in-laws are coming for a visit this weekend from Naples, Fla.

Pizza and in-laws…quite the combination.
