Lake Lure is a small community nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. After the completion of the dam on the Broad River in 1926, the lake was created and named for its popularity as a fishing spot. The dam’s power plant began selling electricity in 1928 and still sells it to Duke Power today. The lake is offers beaches, fishing, boating and gorgeous scenery. It will be the home of new concierge residential community Firefly Cove. Firefly Cove will be a low-density residential development containing 41 home lots built on over 50 acres. The community will have a central building offering a fitness center and a gathering place for residents. There will also be condominiums used as rental property and family guest homes. The community boasts a 24-hour a day concierge service to meet its resident’s every need.
