Love Goes Green

by Jennifer

Mars Snackfood decided to do something different for Valentine’s Day this year. Instead of going with the red, pink and white M&M’S we’re all accustomed to seeing in the days leading up to February 14, they decided to go a different way and proclaimed the color green as the new color of love.

The Green Ones

Not only are all of the M&M’S green, but all of the packages are also green. The flirtatious Ms. Green appears on all of the wrappers, which warn that: Consumption of The Green Ones® may result in elevated romance levels. If you experience this effect, contact your significant other immediately.

A Different Valentine’s Day

It’s a smart move on M&M’S part. Legend has it that The Green Ones are aphrodisiacs and having Ms. Green, who is by far the most intriguing of the M&M characters, only increases the brand’s level of mystery and allure. She offers candy lovers a chance to do something different on Valentine’s Day. The day doesn’t have to be serious, it can be fun and flirtatious – maybe it’s even more fun that way. Which would you rather do? Stick with the tired and true red and white Valentine’s treats? Or try something original and have a day or, as Mars Snackfood is hoping, a snack, to remember?
