MMI Associates is a strong advocate for furthering the advancement and success of small businesses and urges its clients and the general public to contact their local legislators and express their support for the House Bill 20, Small Business Health Insurance Tax Credit.
More Americans are employed today due to the job opportunities offered by small businesses that employ more than half of our nation’s workers and are credited for more than half of the output of our economy. The House Bill 20 tax credit will guarantee that these favorable conditions persist as well as improve by providing a $400 tax credit to every employer with 25 or fewer employees that provides health insurance, enabling small businesses to offer their employees benefits that more closely match the benefits given by larger corporations.
As President of a public relations firm and small business, I acutely understand that small businesses are vital to our state and nation’s economies and critical to ensuring continued job creation. I am active in many pro-small business organizations and have previously been invited, at President George W. Bush’s request, to attend a Presidential speech at the White House addressing the benefits that small businesses bestow on our economy, and I am deeply concerned that our state’s lawmakers pass legislation that will further advance the small business environment.
Please contact your local legislator today and express your support for House Bill 20 so that small businesses can continue to be instrumental in enriching our nation’s economy.
Sincerely,
Patty
