My First Month at MMI

by Kate Catlin

I started working here almost a full four weeks ago and am pleased to say I have survived my first month at MMI. On my way to work that first Monday morning I was a little bit nervous. I knew everyone was pretty tight and I was wondering if it would be tough to find my place. However, after an hour at at the office my nerves had completely calmed and I was already comfortable. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and I feel so excited to be a part of such a great team of people. I keep thinking I am so lucky to have scored such a great job.

Yesterday I got to go on my very first client meeting at Jack Astor’s with Patty and Nicole. I was pretty excited and thought it was a nice way to break up the day. I was even more pleased with the whole situation when we got there and got to sample their chicken tenders which they make with not frozen but fresh chicken and the grilled meatloaf sandwich with gravy. All in all I thought I had made out pretty well for my first client meeting until we got back to the office. Imagine my disappointment to find I had missed out on the police coming to MMI (for more details see yesterday’s blog entries). I have been here for four weeks and the very first time I leave to go on a meeting I miss the adventure?!

Although I missed the action yesterday, I am sure there are plenty more laughs to come because if there is one thing I have learned in my first month at MMI, it is to expect the unexpected.
