RALEIGH, N.C. – Billy Scott, chairman of the Beach Music Association International (BMAI), has announced that a North Carolina Beach Music Day will be held on Tuesday, May 22 on the State House Lawn from noon until 3 p.m. Performers include The Embers, Billy Scott, Clifford Curry, The Orlons, Band of Oz and Donna Groom of the Skyliners, among others. An evening event featuring The Embers as well as other beach music artists will be held at the Sheraton Capitol Center beginning at 7 p.m. Both events are free to the public. Donations from the events will aid in BMAI’s principal goal of educating the public to ensure that beach music will be carried on through generations.

“It is our pleasure to welcome the artists, DJs, politicians, and fans to this event to promote and preserve our heritage,” said Scott. “This music brings people together and creates a harmonious atmosphere for all involved.”
