RALEIGH, N.C. – Ragsdale Liggett PLLC has announced that Melissa Dewey Brumback, partner at the firm, has been named to the Board of Directors for Housing Works Universal Design Institute. In her two-year term as a board member, Brumback will help oversee the corporation, review the budget and make sure the missions and goals are consistently met. The Universal Design Institute works to promote the design of products and environments to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for specialized design.
As an attorney at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC, Brumback focuses on complex commercial, business and construction litigation. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association and the 10th Judicial District Court. Brumback is a previous recipient of the 40 Under 40 Award, given by the Triangle Business Journal to respected leaders under the age of 40 who are making a difference in the Triangle community. She resides in Chapel Hill.
