Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association Member Elected To Board Of Directors

RALEIGH, N.C. – Terry Bradley, president of the Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association, a non-profit human resources professional association and local affiliate of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), has announced that Melvin L. Asbury has joined the SHRM Board of Directors. Asbury is the senior vice president of human resources at Talecris Biotherapeutics in Research Triangle Park. Asbury was elected at the Board’s 58th annual conference in Washington, D.C.

“We are proud that Melvin has been selected to the Board of Directors,” said Bradley. “His expertise in human resources will greatly benefit SHRM and we are confident that he will promote the high standards of the organization and all of its affiliates.”

He obtained his business coaching certification through University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill/Duke University. He received his undergraduate degree in business from North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C and his master’s degree in industrial relations from Purdue University.
