That is exactly what promotional partners are counting on. Partners include Bag Borrow or Steal , Mercedes-Benz , Skyy Vodka and VitaminWater, Sarah Jessica Parker’s signature fragrance brand, Lovely, and apparel line, Bitten, also have ties to the film.
So what do these products get being tied to this movie?
Well for Bag Borrow or Steal, a Web site where you can rent luxury fashion items, being tied to a movie of this magnitude could drastically increase awareness. It will certainly help attract new prospects and users of the site.
And Skyy Vodka is introducing signature drinks for each of the main characters, including Mr. Big, and distributing promotional materials to bars across the country.
This is a smart move for VitaminWater who normally focuses their promotions on men – At the moment the brand is partnering with 19 athletes and celebrities, 18 of which are male. Kelly Clarkson is the lone woman in the group. So being in the “Super Bowl for Women” will ensure the product gets in front of plenty of females.
So if this movie lives up to half of what people expect, this will be brand exposure gold for all products involved.
