We have all been their, an awkward dinner we didn’t want to be at, a social engagement the same time as the big game, or some other situation we would like to get out of in favor of doing something that we actually enjoy. This is often not easy to do and normally results in a lame excuse that the other person knows instantly is an out and out lie. Well a new Web site has been created to help you out of this all to familiar problem. Popularity Dialer will call your cell phone at a predetermined day and time. Then a recorded message will cue you to speak as if you we on a real call. Finally, just hang up and excuse yourself and you are ready to go. This is a really fun idea and I recommend that you try it on some of your friends.

  1. I tried this last weekend when I was set up by my roommate on a blinddate. Wow did I ever make use of it. I also have ditchmail by youmail which is a free service that helps you deal with those annoying callers who can’t take a hint.
