Such a Happy Birthday!

by Allison

Okay, I’ll admit it. I was a little bit bummed out about having a birthday on a Wednesday…especially on the one day of the week filled with back-to-back events at work. As it turned out, the day has been incredible, and I have my UNBELIEVABLE family and friends and AMAZING office to thank!

Patty and I had a spokesperson training session with the folks at Wake Tech this morning at 8:30, so I had to be at my best. I had four birthday messages before I even got to the college, and Patty handed me a cute gift bag with perfect earrings and a gorgeous red and white Coach scarf (to match my hot new red shoes) the minute I walked in. It turned out to be a great class! We love working with the staff there.

I got back to the office to find the downstairs lights turned off and none of my ladies in sight. Slightly confused, I headed upstairs to get the scoop from the boys. It wasn’t until darlin’ Nicole paged Ryal whispering on the speakerphone that it occurred to me that I was about to ruin my very own surprise. I headed back down to find the girls hidden in our monster of an office and was immediately bombarded with cards, flowers, gifts, food, smiles and hugs. Even my desk was decorated!

So, thanks to the following:

PATTY for the perfect gift. (Nicole is so jealous!)
MICHELLE, ELIZABETH, and KATE for the unforgettable welcome, donuts, set-up, and busted card. :)
NICOLE for the Carolina blue pearl bracelet and awesome cooler purse!!! (SO excited about that one!)
RYAL for my lunch at Schlotzsky’s.
KIPP and WESLEY for the birthday wishes and song.
DADDY, MICHELLE, and JARRETT for the cards and cds!
MAMA, KEN, and COLBY for the flowers and Grey’s Anatomy.

And finally, all of my favorite girls, guys, and ex-boyfriends who called to wish me a happy birthday…sorry I didn’t answer…work calls!

LOVE Y’ALL!!!
