CARY, N.C. – Sheila Hale Ogle, owner of The Matthews House, has announced that the events facility will offer award-winning wines from the Chatham Hill Winery in Morrisville, N.C. exclusively customized with The Matthews House private label. Under this alliance, Chatham Hill will customize Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Riesling wines for sale under The Matthews House brand name. Chatham Hill’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot both won top honors at the 2006 Atlantic Seaboard Vinifera Wine Competition in Virginia. The Chatham Hill wines can be custom labeled by request in honor of individuals involved in special events at the facility, such as a bride and groom holding a wedding.

“Chatham Hill Winery is a growing business in the area that produces wines made with the finest grapes in North Carolina and aims for a sophisticated, educated audience with its upscale products,” said Ogle. “We at The Matthews House share the same approach, and we are pleased that their products will provide our customers another incentive to use our facility.”

About Chatham Hill Winery:
Chatham Hill Winery was established in 1999 as the first winery in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. Its mission is to produce distinctive, handcrafted wines of high quality and purity from grapes grown in North Carolina. Winery employees carefully select high quality grapes from vineyards with old vines and low yields to ensure quality and consistency. Wines are produced using traditional methods with the highest quality materials and meticulously sterilized equipment. Chatham Hill Winery emphasizes the scientific approach in controlling the conditions under which the grapes are fermented and wines are aged, blended, and bottled in order to yield a premium wine. Its annual case production averages about 6,000 per year. For more information visit their Web site at http://www.chathamhillwine.com/.
