Today we had a big event at Greystone at Widewaters. It was their ribbon cutting and grand opening, and it was a lot of fun, with great food, good company, and even Muddy the Mudcat from the Carolina Mudcats and the Chick-Fil-A cow. The Chick-Fil-A cow was a real hit with the kids, but I learned that it was his first time in costume, and he could not see very well, so I had to lead him around by his hoof to let him know there was a step or curb in front of him. Muddy the Mudcat was a little bit more of a pro, but I am not really sure what a mudcat is. It requires wind …
Job hunting tip #7: When I ask you why I should hire you, almost every applicant tells me that this would be such a great opportunity for themselves and how much they are going to learn from it. Here’s a tip: I do not care what is good for you – I care what is good for the company. So instead, tell me what an asset you are going be, how you are going to work your arse off and that you are going to put in all this extra time to wow me. Trust me, that is a better answer.
