Today With Patty – Aug. 2, 2007

by Patty

I have been in my car driving all day. Every meeting is on the other side of the world, and I have not been very efficient with my scheduling today. I did manage to have a wonderful lunch at P.F. Chang’s with some folks from Time Warner’s Carolina Homes on Demand, and getting my way with this group, I convinced everybody that we each had to get a different dish so we could share. I am a little bossy that way.

John Grider of Greenlight Connection came to my rescue again. We added more phone lines at the office because people were getting a busy signal, and after we added the two lines, people were still getting a busy signal. My hero John figured out that we had not had the lines put into the rollover setup. I do not really understand, but the good thing is that having John Grider in my life means I do not have to understand everything because he fixes it and makes everything all right. I so owe him some PR.

My house is still torn up, and I have just decided that I am going to stay away as long as I can until everything is done. Right now they are scraping the popcorn off the ceiling, and you can just imagine how messy that is, and since I am married to Monk, he is twitching about all of the chaos. I keep telling him to repeat after me, “I am OK with the chaos. The chaos is good. I am at one with the chaos.” He is not buying any of it.
