Today With Patty – Dec. 12, 2006

by Patty

I was watching March of the Penguins last night, because I went to the theater with Mary Lou Powell, vice president and chief nursing officer of Rex Healthcare, to see it a while back, and I slept through the whole thing. I love paying $10 for a good nap. So, what is it with those penguins? They walk back and forth and back and forth. I do not understand why they just do not live next to the water. That would certainly eliminate all the trekking back and forth. Did I mention that I actually saw some penguins up close and personal this time last year when I was in Africa? And it is true – they taste just like chicken. Just kidding. But one of the coolest things I have ever seen was being on the beach in Cape Town with sunbathers lazing in the sun and sharing the beach with penguins getting in and out of the water.

I have a very full day today with meetings, meetings and more meetings. I do not understand why everybody is working so hard this close to the holidays. Do they not know that this is the season to kick back? I guess no one got that memo.

Tonight I am heading out to a fundraiser with a client called A Little Night Music. I have not a clue as to what the thing is about, and I cannot wait to tell John that he will be putting on a suit again. But at least this time it is not a tuxedo.
