Today With Patty – Jan. 10, 2007

by Patty

I have been in meetings all day today, and I am not getting my work done. Instead, I just go to meetings and promise to do the work and hope that I am going to find the time to actually get it done.

The advantage of being at meetings today is that I had the chance to enjoy being outside. Even though the temperature has dropped here, it is definitely spring weather. In fact, today was a beautiful March day. Everything is blooming.

I will tell you what else is blooming is my e-mail. Beth joined us in mid December, and one of her responsibilities is to check my e-mail while I am out of the office (please note all of you who are sending me dirty and lewd e-mails that Beth sees these!). Anyway, she would always talk about how much e-mail I would have, and I laughed to myself, since she had no idea what it would be like after January. So today I check in, and she tells me I have 10,852 unanswered e-mails, and they are all legitimate and I have to do something with them. Does she not know that that is what midnight to 2 a.m. is for? I am pretty sure Satan came up with the idea of e-mail.

Gotta go – working on those e-mails.
