Today With Patty – Jan. 4, 2007

by Patty

What a whirlwind day. I do not know how today became so out of control. Every meeting that I had this morning that I thought would be just a half hour long ended up being two hours. I have just been running like a crazy woman. As a matter of fact, I did not get to eat anything today for lunch until 2 o’clock, and then it was leftover turkey salad.

I do have a customer service update. Actually, today’s blog has a happy ending to it. Remember how I complained in this blog about when I went to Hardee’s Dec. 16 for food over by the mall, and I waited over 15 minutes in the drive-through lane with just two cars in front of me to receive a small order of curly fries when I paid for a large one, sweet tea when I ordered unsweetened, and a chicken salad that was all onions and very little lettuce? Well, after I sent the company an e-mail about it and received an automatic reply saying “We have received your message. Thank you for contacting us,” Hardee’s has sent me two “second chance” coupons to use on my next visit to get my choice of a 1/3 lb. Thickburger, Big Chicken Filet Sandwich or Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich for free, plus a prepaid business replay mail survey to me to fill out and send to the Hardee’s headquarters in California regarding my return visit. So, I guess I will give them another try. Hey Macy’s, do you hear that?

We were going to go out of town this weekend to Tennessee, but things are just too crazy right now. I do not even have any good food stories to share – I am just boring and busy and no fun today. I have nothing else to say right now. Maybe tomorrow ….
