We are still recovering from our server being down last week, and I cannot tell you how painful this has been. The only bright spot has been Technology Associates and their responsiveness.
On Friday we dropped my in-laws off for a 4:15 flight to Phoenix, hung out at the airport and picked up my niece Jake (her given name is Jacqueline), who arrived from Denver at 4:45. I just realized that I have had company every single day for over 60 days. I can tell you that the 13-year-old is the easiest of them all. She forces me to go to the pool, which I love to do, but never find the time. Of course I have a big honking sunburn because I was not using sunblock. She loves to make coffee in our single-serving designer Yuppie Bunn coffee maker from Gray and Creech. She is now the official MMI barista, and her mother should be thrilled that I am preparing her for a job at Starbucks. When I mentioned this to her mother, she explained that she expected Jake to be running Starbucks.
If you recall, I was blogging a while back about the amazing customer service I received from John Grider in Florida and how helpful he was when we were expanding the phone system. Well, John Grider is my knight in shining armor. I posted a message to the super technical guru message board about a problem we have been having and how the phone systems likes to seize our telephone lines and tie up our system. John Grider dialed into our system and fixed the problem all on his own. I am going to get some information about his company and pass it along to all of you. He is amazing.
Went to the Koka Booth Amphitheatre Saturday to hear the North Carolina Symphony do Summerfest: British Musical Mania & A Tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and it was wonderful, especially since we had a box – you know I do not do cheap seats. But it was a little long for my 13-year-old and the 6-year-old who came with her.

MMI Associates was contracted to handle media relations and to organize various efforts to open the communication lines between the construction entities on the project and motorists. The firm developed a strategic public relations campaign to ensure that local motorists and those passing through would be aware of the most up-to-date traffic patterns.
