Today With Patty – June 12, 2007

Shhhh! Do you hear that? That is the sound of an empty house. While I have loved having company, it is great to be alone. My mother left at 6:15 a.m. this morning, not 6:45 like I thought. No problem though. My great husband got up and took her to Raleigh-Durham International Airport for me. I owe him one.

Now I have to put my house back together, because my in-laws are coming, and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Then after that onslaught, my niece from Denver is here for 10 days – my very own 12-year-old. Whatever will I do? And then my 18-year-old niece from Tucson shows up to stay with me before she starts college at Peace. I am just not up for all this company, and I know Katie Scarlet is extremely worked up about it.

My life is pretty boring right now. I have nothing really exciting to blog about. We are interviewing, interviewing right now – we are growing so fast that we are just in perpetual interview mode. We have just decided that we are going interview anybody and everybody, and if someone is good and we like them, we will hire them whether we have a position for them. The problem is that we may not have a work station or chair for them.
