Last night was my first evening alone without company in a long time. Did I go out for a nice quiet dinner? Did I stay home and have a romantic dinner? Did I put my house back together? Of course not. Why, you ask? Because I am a loser. I stayed at the office until 10 o’clock catching up on business instead.
For lunch today, we made a run to PeiWei Asian Diner for a big office feast. As always, we ordered too much food, so we had a communal lunch. Now little Allison in our office, who has such a cute figure, decided she was going to exercise last night, and apparently she indulged too much, as she is incapable of moving today. You should see her going up and down the stairs, particularly when she brought back the food. It hurts just to see her walk. I told her welcome to my world – that is how I feel all the time.
What a rainy, dreary day this is! It is dark and gloomy out. Ryal is doing everything he can to stay awake, and I know if I turn my back on him, he will be curled up in the recliner with a blankie sawing logs. It really is a beautiful late December day today. I cannot get over how sticky and humid it is already, and I am afraid we are in for a long summer, and since we had no winter, the bugs, who love this moisture, will be gigundo.
