Today With Patty – March 1, 2007

by Patty

I know that I have not been blogging much lately, but I have had a lot on my plate. I was dealing with a health issue for a family member, but I am happy to report that all is well, and I think I witnessed a miracle. As a result, I am a happy girl. My staff has been amazing, helping me as I was dealing with this, and I am enormously grateful to them. My friends have been so good to me, and just all in all, I feel blessed.

While I was at Duke University Hospital, I stopped by to visit Jill, who is making an amazing recovery from her surgery. She was so funny, because all she said she wanted was a shower. I need her to get well and take care of herself and come back here, because we miss her horribly, and also because no one likes doing traffic. I long for the day when we will have a full house at MMI. I do not believe we have had one day since the start of this year that the entire staff was at work. If it is not surgery, it is vacation or some such thing. If I could, I would chain them all to their desks.

I am in the office most of today, interviewing new account executive candidates. We are growing so fast that I am having a hard time keeping up with it. We took over extra space downstairs in October, and yet we are almost full again. Of course, the upstairs looked like a Saigon sweatshop most of last year, so we are used to being crammed. I will keep you posted on what we do.
