Today With Patty – March 14, 2007

by Patty

I know I have been a little spotty lately on blogging, but I am still fighting this horrendous cold. In fact yesterday I succumbed and went home early and proceeded to have a 15-hour nap. I am still not feeling good, but I am now a firm believer in Tylenol Cold medicine. Do you think it is a problem that I am drinking it out of a brandy snifter?

Today we are eating ice cream in celebration of the warm weather. I had my first “Snickers ice cream bar,” and oh baby oh, it is good! I think everybody is getting spring fever at the office, and we might have to make a run to MaggieMoo’s later in the week. Of course we are too big now to do what used to do, which was everybody would pile into my convertible and off we would go.

Here is my really momentous news: Those of you who see me often know that I have been growing out my hair for the last six months or so, and the first time in 20 years I have grown out my bangs. My thinking was that it would be easier to take care of, I could wear it in a ponytail again, and it would be just a simple palette. None of that worked out. I look like crap with my hair long, I have to get my hair done much more often (I know you thought I was a natural blonde), and it takes me forever to dry it because my hair is so thick. The only good thing is that I am able to put it in a ponytail when I put the top down, but I am too old to be wearing ponytails. So, I am on my way over to Haircolorxperts to have it whacked off today. I have not decided what my cut will look like, but my attitude is that it is just hair and it will grow back.
