Allison (the Davis one) and I were visiting a client today and decided to stop at Cook-Out for lunch. We went to the one off Walnut Street, and Allison was mighty excited to learn that you can get off on Walnut Street at U.S. 1/64 at Exit 1-A. So apparently all this time, she had been cutting through Crossroads Plaza to get to Walnut. I think she was a little scared when I backed up on the access ramp because I was in the left turn lane, and I needed to get into the right turn lane to go straight. We made it safely across to Cook-Out, where we had greasy onion rings and milkshakes for lunch. Ah, the healthy lifestyle at MMI!
As we were coming back to the office, we were cut off by this smart aleck kid in a red truck who had fire in his pants, and he could not wait two seconds for the traffic to move forward to let him make a right turn onto Maynard Road, so instead he cut us off so he could race through a gas station. So of course, I had to speed up so that he could not get out of the gas station and go in front of me. It is the little things in life that give you great pleasure. Thwarting smart aleck kids with fire in their pants driving red trucks does it for me.
I am happy to report that MMI Associates, Inc. was named the fifth largest PR firm in the Triangle by Triangle Business Journal. And I am the only chick in the top five. (Actually, I am the only chick in the top eight.) We moved up being the sixth largest last year as our business and employees grew. At our team meeting today, we will be celebrating this accomplishment with champagne. Of course at our office, any reason to celebrate is worthy of champagne, and any chance to drink champagne is a cause to celebrate

MMI Associates was contracted to handle media relations and to organize various efforts to open the communication lines between the construction entities on the project and motorists. The firm developed a strategic public relations campaign to ensure that local motorists and those passing through would be aware of the most up-to-date traffic patterns.
