Today With Patty – May 1, 2007

by Patty

It is hot. When did that happen? I am driving with my top down, but with the air conditioning on. It is way too early in the year for this nonsense. I am also resuming my walks at work now, but it was too hot today – I went out for all of maybe five minutes. I am a loser.

I am kind of boring today. There is no drama here – Ryal has not even eaten my food. Although we did do a Harris Teeter run today for sandwiches, because they make the best subs in the world, and we have our system down to a science. We always phone the order in first because the lady behind the counter has to make the sandwiches, and she gets mighty ugly when we order 10 sandwiches in person, so instead we have trained her to make the sandwiches for us and deliver them to customer service. Well, Ryal goes to pick up the subs today, and he was supposed to get us salt and vinegar potato chips, which is a MMI tradition whenever we have Harris Teeter sandwiches, but instead he gets us Tostitos with a hint of lime. I am munching on them right now as I am complaining. They taste extra special because they are Ryal’s, and it is so rare I get anything of his to eat, since I am not a fan of cold SpaghettiOs.

This afternoon Allison and I took a little ride over to the Country Boy produce stand and picked up some corn, fresh strawberries and plants. John is going to love it when he sees all the leaves and dirt in the back of my car. Nobody can trash a car up like I can.
