Today With Patty – May 2, 2007

Today is all about getting ready for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Awards celebration. I took my dirty, filthy head to get my hair done at Haircolorxperts, and it looks pretty good now. So now I am going to have to come back and do the whole makeup and dress thing so that I look presentable for the awards tonight. I am very excited about getting the award tonight, and as much as I would like to take credit for it, it is really my office who has done all the work to get us to where we are today.

I am back to walking every day. Today Wesley took me for my walk, and we had a big one – walked for a good half hour. But it is really hot. A little too hot for my taste to be out walking. And it is tough when you are walking with Wesley, because he is 10 feet tall with really long legs, and I have to scurry to keep up with him. Plus there is all the whining about my heel. So all in all, I figure it is a pretty painful experience for everyone involved.

Our new copier arrived today, thanks to the negotiating skills of Beth Blake, a/k/a Radar O’Reilly. It is all fancy with a thousand different choices, so I am going to have to figure out how to use it. I am not sure I am ready for that, because I am still having Kipp teach me how to use the CD player in my car. It is very mysterious. I cannot figure out how you can put six CDs in and go from CD to CD. Not to worry – Kipp will figure it out.
