I attended the meeting for the Big Bad Ball committee last night. It really is one of my favorite charities. We have a lot of good ideas planned for next year’s event. We decided to change bands, for one thing. The Big Bad Ball has always had Crush provide the music, but they always have trouble starting up on time, so we talked about getting another group to perform. I suggested “Chairmen of the Board”: http://www.chairmenoftheboard.com/, but I was told that the Big Bad Ball is a young persons’ event, and they are not hip and cool. I of course am not hip and cool either, so I like them just fine.
As usual, I am behind the eight ball today and do not have much of anything done. I head to Phoenix tomorrow for my nephew’s wedding. Smart mouth Kipp does his part by telling everybody I will be in “Phuh-HOH-nix” for the weekend. Nice of him, huh? Anyway, I am sure I will be packing at midnight tonight, as I have to attend meetings this afternoon and come back to work at the office tonight. Then I will be heading to the Women Against MS luncheon tomorrow and have to rush after that to Raleigh-Durham International Airport to catch my flight to Phoenix.
My one stress right now is I have not made my provisions for Katie Scarlet, our neurotic, dysfunctional, bulimic cat who needs constant attention and a babysitter when we go out of town. I was hoping to talk Ryal into doing that, because he has been on my fecal list, but he is going out of town too on Friday to Washington, D.C – or so he says. Any takers out there?
